Yakut swimmer Anastasia Diodorova as part of the Russian team won a bronze medal of the World Para Swimming Championships in the mixed 4x50 relay. Previously, she ranked fifth in the 100-meter backstroke.

The fourth day of the competition ended at the World Swimming Championships in London, where medals and qualify for the Paralympic Games were contested by the strongest athletes of the planet.

The Russian team participated in the 4x50 mixed relay and took third place. The team includes Anastasia Diodorova, Artur Kubasov, Natalia Butkova, Roman Zhdanov, Ani Palyan, Dmitry Chernyaev.

Further, Diodorova competed in swimming at a distance of 100-meter backstroke. Together with her, the athletes of Kazakhstan, Mexico, Ukraine, China, Germany, all in all, eight athletes, toed the starting line.

In the qualification race Anastasia was third (1 minute 29 seconds). In the final, immediately after the start, she took the lead and after 50 meters was in the top three, but then China and Germany began to overtake Diodorova. She finished fifth with a time of 1 minute 27 seconds. Verena Schott from Germany won the title of world champion (1 minute 23 seconds), second and third places went to Chinese athletes Song Lingling and Yang Yuan, fourth – to Ukrainian Elizaveta Mereshko.

The Paralympic Games qualification championship is being held September 9 -15 in London.
