ALROSA-LENA opened the navigation period at the Lensk river port. In total, for the navigation in 2019, which will last 160 days, the port plans to accept a total of 289.8 thousand tons of cargo, including 112 thousand tons of petroleum products.

On May 23, the SK-2085 motor ship came first to the Lensk river port from Ust-Kut, delivering 3.5 thousand tons of cargo: equipment, motor oil, bitumen, chemical products, tires necessary for ALROSA. Following the first motor ship, cargo ships of the ALROSA-Lena Society will arrive at the port in the near future: Vladimir Gerasimets, SK-2098, SK-2077.

The navigation period of 2019 will last until October.

The start of the 64th navigation period is given on Friday, May 24, in the presence of the management of the Almazdortrans production department, managers and employees of related enterprises and the entire staff of the river port. The key to the new navigation was handed to Anatoly Grekhovodov, the captain of the ship SK-2085 that arrived first in the port this spring.


The Lena River Port possesses modern cranes and is of key importance for ALROSA, because all the goods strategically important for the Company's operations are delivered through it. The river port has 7 gantry cranes, 1 floating crane, 2 automobile cranes KATO-75 and KATO-50.
