The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, who is also the First Deputy Chairman of ALROSA Supervisory Board, together with the official delegation of the Company paid a working visit to the Republic of Angola.

The visit took place as part of the development of Russian-African relations. ALROSA has been operating in Angola since 1993. The delegation visited the facilities of ALROSA in Angola, got acquainted with the work process and held meetings on the ground.
Aisen Nikolaev held talks with the management of the ENDIAMA National Diamond Company of Angola. The main topic of the negotiations was the participation of ALROSA in the development of diamond deposits in Angola. The parties discussed the progress of diamond mining projects in the largest African deposits of Catoca and Luaxe.
During the meeting, Aisen Nikolaev emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation between the two countries in the diamond sector and support for the activities of ALROSA in Africa. In turn, ENDIAMA President José Manuel Augusto Ganga Júnior said that the Angolan parties would make every effort to promote joint projects on diamond mining in Angola.
The head of Yakutia also visited Lunda Sul Province, where he held talks with the governor of the province, Daniel Felix Neto. Ambassador of Russia to Angola Vladimir Tararov also took part in the trip, during which the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The Russian Ambassador to Angola noted that in light of the intensification of relations between Russia and Africa, Yakutia is the first region to outline concrete and long-term plans with Angola at the interregional level.
