The project of a tourist cluster at the Pole of Cold in the Oymyakon district of Yakutia will be presented at the 5th Eastern Economic Forum.

This was announced on Monday by the press service of Knight Frank, which, as part of the consortium, won the international competition for the development of the project concept.

The competition is organized with the support of the government of Yakutia. 48 teams from eight countries took part in the competition.

- Knight Frank, an international consulting company within the consortium, which also includes Asadov’s Architectural Bureau, LSTK-project and RussiaDiscovery, was announced the winner of an open All-Russian competition with international participation in developing the concept of a tourist cluster in the Oymyakon village in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The project will be presented at the 5th jubilee Eastern Economic Forum, which will take place September 4-6, 2019, the report says.

Oymyakon is known as one of the poles of the cold and is included in the list of settlements with the most extreme conditions for human life. The implementation of the tourism cluster project will take nine years - from 2019 to 2028 with the involvement of both public and private investments.
