The target program will restore 15 airports of the republic
As a result of the implementation of the Federal Target Program ‘Economic and social development of the Far East and the Baikal region until 2018,’ 15 airport complexes and landing grounds will be put into operation in Yakutia after reconstruction. For these purposes, 26.9 billion rubles have been allocated, reports YakutiaMedia news agency.
As part of this program, the runway will be reconstructed with artificial turf at Chokurdakh airport, and the airports of Neryungri, Nyurba, Vilyuisk, Srednekolymsk and Olekminsk, Sangar, Deputatsky, Chersky, Khandyga, Belaya Gora, Verkhnevilyuisk, Sakkyryr, Zyryanka and Tiksi.
The Federal State Enterprise Airports of the North have already begun to implement the program. In particular, tenders have been announced for the development of project documentation for the reconstruction of eight airports in Yakutia. According to the plan, the airports of Belaya Gora, Verkhnevilyuisk, Vilyuisk, Deputatsky, Sakkyryr, Sangar, Srednekolymsk and Khandyga will be the first to be reconstructed.
